Location Narrative ? South Lake McClure, Mariposa County: On the E-facing steep slopes, just W of Lake McSwain (near the big dam for Lake McClure). A shrub stand dominated by more or less young poison oak that is columnar and well-spaced (see photo). The surrounding herb cover is primarily non-native annual grasses with some native forb component (Plagiobothrys, Triteleia, and other bulbs). Not grazed and no evidence of recent fire (except maybe young poison oak).
