This stand is located on a gentle S facing slope, dominated by mature, multi-stemmed Quercus chrysolepis with a diverse understory of young conifers, Umbellularia californica, and a tangle of Toxicodendron diversilobum and Lonicera interrupta in the low shrub layer with grasses occupying the openings. This whole area was logged at one time, but there is no evidence of logging in the stand.
