Jackson Rancheria in Amador County: This is a stand of fairly short, even-aged, multi-stemmed Quercus chrysolepis. The shrub layer is open with light cover of Heteromeles arbutifolia. The herbaceous layer is almost non-existent. There is very high litter cover and many dead Arctostaphylos viscida.
