Roadside survey on Garden Bar Rd. at Coon Creek

| Location Narrative |
Stand viewed from bridge at Coon Creek and Garden Bar Rd, with no access to property. Creek is wide with a wide and open floodplain. Quercus lobata (T4) stand with understory of grass, highly disturbed by grazing goats. Adjacent stand on other side of bridge has no goats and the creek has alders, willows, Rubus, and button-willows, etc. The surveyed stand with goats is on the property of a large horse ranch. Hundreds of bank swallows are nesting under the bridge. Alders were probably removed.
