BLM and BOR Parcels, Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties, New Melones Reservoir: This is a dense riparian stand of large, tall valley oak, with California grape covering the ground surface of the understory and climbing up into the trees. The stand is most of Snake Gulch, heading SE into New Melones Reservoir, and extends up onto the steep bank on the W side of the gulch.
