This stand lies at the NW edge of Lake Folsom at Rattlesnake Bar in the flood zone. There are large Salix gooddingii with button-willow and Juncus and Cynodon in the understory. The ground is covered mostly by downed branches, driftwood, and trash from the winter high-water line. Quercus wislizenis are just above the floodplain. This stand type repeats around the lake. Pipevine and tiger swallowtails are all over the button-willow.
