Location Narrative	This Populus - Salix stand forms a narrow band at the edge of the lake near Granite Bay. The vegetation type repeats sporadically but is less common than Salix gooddingii stands. Beaches with S to SE exposures have more bedrock, fewer trees. Beaches with N to NE exposure have more Populus fremontii and S. gooddingii. There are skeletons of dead herbs on the beach that I cannot identify.
