Location Narrative ? Wurlitzer Ranch lies in both Tehama and Butte Counties. Repeating vegetation pattern on north-facing slopes that is dominated by bay and Quercus wislizeni, both as small trees. Scattered shrubs include red bud and birchleaf mountain-mahogany. These stands are extremely dense and essentially impenetrable due to massive poison oak cover. This area most likely burned about 6-7(?) years ago. Howard Wurlitzer knows the date of the fire.
