CDPR and ACOE lands along the Yuba River: This is a young, regenerating, shrubby Quercus wislizeni stand on a steep E-facing slope with a diversity of young shrubs. Very dense vegetation of this type covers most of this E-facing side of a canyon which leads into the main S. Yuba River Canyon. The vegetation is regenerating after a fire 10-30 years ago.
