Location Narrative |
A stand of canyon live oak on the steep bedrocky, bouldery cliffs of the canyon along this part of Butte Creek. Canyon live oak forms a dense, tall, closed canopy with scattered bay and nutmeg as a low tree understory layer. The shrub layer is dominated by poison oak. The herb layer is very sparse and dominated primarily by moss covering the rocks.
