Location Narrative |
Roadside survey from bridge on S. Honcut Creek, the stand is dominated by mixed-age Platanus racemosa with valley oak, cottonwoods, ash, and mixed willows. Scoured, gently sloping banks are mostly gravel and cobbles. Creek is approximately 15 m wide but was 3 times larger recently. Some standing dead sycamores.
