Location Narrative ? An upland stand of Quercus lobata mixed with scattered Pinus ponderosa, Calocedrus decurrens, and Quercus kelloggii. There appear to be some springs upslope of this stand, accounting for the more mesic setting. The shrub understory is heterogeneous with patchy Rhus trilobata, Arctostaphylos manzanita, and Ceanothus integerrimus. The stand is interrupted by intermittent drainages coming downslope and dominated by Quercus chrysolepis.
