Location Narrative ![?](http://vegbank.org/vegbank/images/question.gif) |
This is a mixed stand of oaks and pines above Antelope Creek. It is mostly a normal valley oak stand, but with some (~12) large emergent grey pines throughout the stand. The shrubs in the understory include Ptelea, Rhus, Prunus, Aristolochia and are not evenly distributed, except for the poison oak.

Unusual and unexpected mix of species, especially the dominant trees. The pattern seems to repeat throughout the stream terrace above Antelope Creek.
