The stand is a narrow band of riparian vegetation along an (intermittent?) tributary to Antelope Creek. It is dominated by mid-sized alders (8-10 m) with scattered tall Platanus throughout, as well as some emergent Populus, Salix, and Quercus wislizeni. The shrub layer is thick with Calycanthus and Rubus. There is no herbaceous understory.
