The stand is a whiteleaf manzanita dominated shrubland with scattered emergent gray pine, chamise, Heteromeles arbutifolia, and others intermixed at low levels throughout. The few openings are dominated primarily by grasses and chamise sprouts. The leaf and limb litter is heavy at ground level.
