The stand is a mix of interior live oak, buckeye, and blue oak on a short N-facing slope that runs east to west dissecting a large plateau (Devil's Half Acre). The understory on the upper half is comprised of vines, small shrubs, and poison oak, while the lower half is primarily Cynosurus and Torilis.
