Location Narrative ? The stand is a woodland of even, short stature blue oaks on a more or less flat, volcanic plain. Bedrock and boulders are scattered throughout the stand under mixed annual grasses (Avena, Cynosurus, Bromus). Occasional fallen and or burnt trunks (well decomposed) are also scattered throughout. The stand occupies both sides of the road.
