Location Narrative |
The stand is extensive southwest-facing chamise chaparral along the east side of Highway 49, north of the county line. The stand is recently burned, as evidenced by many chamise and manzanita skeletons standing amongst the regrowth. Fragmented, rocky soil, and mostly thin grassy interstices characterize the understory.
