This is a stand of herbaceous vegetation in a vernal swale. The dominant species are Lolium multiflorum, Polypogon monspeliensis, and Eryngium castrense. The vegetation is very sparse and has been grazed very heavily. This type of vegetation repeats in patches in this 700 square meter area and likely repeats elsewhere on this property.
