Location Narrative |
Wurlitzer Ranch lies in both Tehama and Butte Counties. This stand consists of a cobbly, N facing bank of Pine Creek dominated by Alnus rhombifolia, with an understory of young Salix laevigata and Ficus carica. This is not a distance survey, but it is difficult to cross the stream, so the point was taken on the opposite bank. The substrate is mostly likely basalt cobbles as the parent material in this landscape is mostly volcanic mud.
