An alder stand at the confluence of the South and North Forks of Antelope Creek. The alders are a mix of old individuals (11"-24") and young cohorts. The stand is also unique in its diversity of overstory trees and the density of the shrub understory. The assessment covers all sides of the creeks and the ground cover estimates includes the water.

Observation Narrative
The areas of valley oak and canyon live oak cover might be separate units of vegetation (separate stands), but I can't really tell from the ground. They were all lumped together for this assessment.
