Location Narrative |
Big Chico Creek ER, California State University Chico: The stand is a real mix of black oak, canyon live oak, big leaf maple, and ponderosa pine, but it is the ponderosa pine that is the most consistent throughout, and most prevalent in the understory saplings. The stand is at least partially on one of the Lovejoy outcrops.

Observation Narrative |
Other plants had higher cover but the stand seemed to be going towards a Pinus ponderosa stand. There were a few mature individuals and lots of saplings.
