Large and somewhat decadent cottonwoods dominate this narrow stand along the American River floodplain. This stand is too dense with Salix, Rubus, and Vitis to enter. All data was taken from the western edge of the stand. The understory has a mix of Alnus rhombifolia and very tall Salix exigua (much taller than in adjacent stand SNNR0592).
