Location Narrative ? A blue oak woodland with shrubby buckeye throughout. The stand is situated on steep rocky S-facing slopes at the base of a cliff and up from Battle Creek. This pattern repeats on the other side of the canyon, but with more bay on the N-facing slopes. The boulder cover is somewhat variable with portions of the stand being entirely boulders.
