Wurlitzer Ranch lies in both Tehama and Butte Counties. Open valley oak stand on a stream terrace above Pine Creek. The understory is Vitis, Rhamnus, young bay and Ceanothus integerrimus. There are some charred downed logs, there may have been a low intensity fire. There are cedar snags, but no live trees in the stand. A large bear was sighted 150 m south of the stand. Unsure if this vegetation is "upland" or "wetland".
