CDPR and ACOE lands along the Yuba River: This stand is an Interior Live Oak woodland on steep, somewhat rocky S-facing slopes. There is a fair amount of madrone scattered throughout the tree canopy as well as a significant number of madrone saplings in the 2-5 m size range. Heteromeles arbutifolia and Poison Oak are intermittent in the shrub layer and the herb layer is patchy, being heavier in the openings and containing a fair amount of native perennial grasses.
