CDPR and ACOE lands along the Yuba River: This is a mixed Quercus wislizeni - Quercus kelloggii stand with some emergent Pinus sabiniana scattered throughout. The stand occurs on steep lower slopes on either side of the inlet heading into Joe Miller Ravine. The shrub understory is patchy with respect to the co-dominance of Heteromeles arbutifolia, Arctostaphylos manzanita, and Toxicodendron diversilobum. There are a fair amount of native grasses in the herbaceous layer.
