CDPR and ACOE lands along the Yuba River: This is a mostly even-aged stand (50-100 yrs old) dominated by Pinus ponderosa with some younger individuals and a few Quercus kelloggii individuals. The understory is open and rocky with big granite outcrops and native grasses and young shrubs. There are fire scars on the Pinus ponderosas about 2-3 m high on the trunks. The fire took place probably 5-20 years ago. There is a road at the base of this stand, which splits this stand from another Pinus ponderosa-dominated stand with much higher shrub cover.
