CDPR and ACOE lands along the Yuba River: This is an open stand of mature, multi-stemmed Quercus chrysolepis on a moderate N-facing slope. The understory is surprisingly open, consisting mostly of Cynosurus echinatus and young Quercus chrysolepis. It seems that there may be running water through this stand in the wet season as there is a small drainage and lots of Rubus discolor downslope.
