CDPR and ACOE lands along the Yuba River: This is a small stand on a seasonal tributary creek of the South Yuba River. The canopy is dominated by Alnus rhombifolia, and the understory is sparse due to the rocky substrate consisting of exposed bedrock and large boulders. There is some shrub cover from Rubus discolor and Toxicodendron diversilobum, but overall there is very low species diversity. There is overhanging Quercus wislizeni and Quercus chrysolepis in this stand from the vegetation upslope.
