Morales Ranch is an easement of the American River Conservancy. This stand is an open Quercus douglasii woodland on a moderate SE facing slope, with some Quercus wislizeni and emergent Pinus sabiniana on the top of the slope. The Quercus douglasii individuals are mostly mature and very large, but there are some younger individuals. The understory consists mostly of exotic annual grasses
