Location Narrative
Approximately 10 miles east of Dade City. Eastern part of the Green Swamp SW Florida Water Management District land, east of Hwy 471. From Hwy 471, east on main dirt road for several miles, then north on woods road. Plot on west side of road.

Wet flatwoods Two distinct zones included in plot - individual zones too small for full plot. Treeless wet prairie with distinct vegetation "zones". Plot encompasses a wiregrass (Aristida beyrichiana) dominated zone, and an Amphicarpum muehlenbergianum dominated zone. No tree canopy. Some pond cypress and shrub species present. Patchy Serenoa repens on drier end of plot. Other herb dominants include Biglowia nudata, Coreopsis floridanus, Rhynchospora spp., Rhexia spp., Scleria muhlenbergia, Xyris spp.
