Hydric hamock along Oklawaha River. Sabal palmetto dominates the understory and shrub strata. Closed canopy has a diverse mixture of medium-sized trees including Quercus laurifolia, Acer rubrum, Liquidambar styraciflua, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Taxodium distichum, Magnolia virginiana, and Nyssa biflora (60-80 feet tall). Sapling canopy tree species fill the subcanopy. Sabal minor and Sabal palmetto (seedlings) dominate the shrub stratum. Sparse ground cover has Rhynchospora. Leaf litter covers the ground.
