Landscape Narrative	Mesic hammock with closed canopy. Many mature trees dominated by Carya glabra, Magnolia grandiflora, and Quercus virginiana up to 60+ feet and 20-inch dbh. Subcanopy has younger trees plus Sabal palmetto and Osmanthus americanus. Patchy tall shrubs include Vaccinium arboreum and Lyonia fruticosa. Short shrubs abundant, mainly Serenoa repens and Sabal etonia 3-4 feet tall. Zamia pumila is occasional and widespread. Thick leaf litter covers the ground with herbaceous species sparse - Mitchella repens. The terrestrial orchid Triphora trianthephores was observed in 2 locations. Plants in flower and fruit.
