Park in visitors center parking lot in one of the far SW corners or park just at the entrance to the loop road where the gate is. From gate, take a bearing of 305 degrees and look for a 2-branched Diospyros about 30 m away. The largest branch (15-cm dbh) should have tag #22 on it facing the road. Conduit will be impossible to find under Rubus, bit it is there. From the tag tree, take a bearing of 280 degrees and go 7 m to the center of plot. Vegetation plot heads out at a 170-degree heading from the conduit. Plot is surrounded by Lonicera hell.

Representativeness
Variable - lots of heterogeneity with small old fields interspersed with stands of short successional trees.
