Location Narrative ? Continue S on SC Highway 248 past the visitors center. Pull over on shoulder just before the first bridge (about 0.5 km past visitors center). From about 50 m N of bridge, enter the forest and walk 200 m on a NW bearing past old highly eroded farm fields now in oak-hickory. Plot is adjacent to one of the many gullies in the area. Tag tree is a 20-cm dbh Quercus nigra (tag #72 faces SW toward conduit). Conduit is 4 m SW of tag tree. Vegetation plot extends out from conduit at bearing of 100 degrees.
