From visitors center, take trail S to stockade fort. From S end of stockade fort, you will see a large open field between woods and road (Highway 248). Head due S approx. 50 m to a clump of small trees on the right side of trail. Tag tree is a 20-cm dbh Celtis laevigata with tag #73. The conduit is 2.5 m due W of the tree at the edge of the field. Vegetation plot heads out at a bearing of 240 degrees from the conduit.
