SE rim of large pond; to S of this plot is p. taeda, i. myrtifolia, q. laurifolia, vacc arboreum, sabal minor, aronia/gordonia?; pondberry is dense; in almost continuous patches through very large bowl-like depression; depression is dominated by byssa and persea in center, surrounded by large transition zone on all but northernmost site (where more desne/shrubby); pondberry is in this large transition zone
