This observation was uploaded from NatureServe's Ecological Observations Database (EcoObs), version 27 May 2016. Some data values may be midpoints of EcoObs classes (e.g. stratum height, slope, aspect).
The plot is representative of the very dense, low shrub thicket (<2 m) dominated by Spirea latifolia. The sparse herb layer probably is due to shading from the dense thicket. A few Cornus are present. The soil is damp with no standing water.
