In the SE corner of the Ink's Creek portion of the north part of the Denny Ranch. North of Hwy. 36 and just west of Dales Lake. Stand consists entirely of herbaceous vegetation (native forbs) in a vernally wet flat area. Many cobbles on thin volcanic soils and areas of open water appear to be cattle hoof prints. Dominant species are Blennosperma nana, Plagiobothrys sp., and Layia fremontii. Surrounded by upland mounds vegetated with California Annual Grassland.; Site has been burned in the past 2-5 years. Vegetation is actively managed by cattle grazing and prescribed fire.
