Site is located on a south-facing slope on the western boundary of the study area just north of the Dye Creek Field Station. Plot has dispersed stones throughout and a stone/boulder outcrop at the north end. Herbaceous cover is dominated by Bromus hordeaceus, Taeniatherum caput-medusae, and Plagiobothrys sp. Located next to a dirt road.; The area has been burned in the past ten years and is a year-round horse pasture. Evidence of horse grazing from bioturbation and presence of horses in the surrounding area.
