Site is located at the edge of Folsom Reservoir and about 1/4 mile west of Salmon Falls Rd. The plot consists entirely of herbaceous vegetation dominated by Juncus sp. The site is seasonally inundated by the reservoir and will be under water in a few months. This vegetation repeats throughout this flat area, which borders a creek (to the south of the plot) lined with Salix sp. There are many non-native grasses and forbs in the plot.; This site is inundated for part of each year. Mine tailings line the stream to the south of the plot. Some animal dung is present in the plot (possibly cow).
