Location Narrative ? The site is in Hamlin Canyon on the south side of the creek at the east end of the Horning Ranch, about 75 meters from the boundary fence. The plot is located in a small grassland where the presence and relatively high cover of Nassella pulchra is characteristic. Small-sized patches of N. pulchra occur throughout the much larger blue oak woodland, on either side of the creek and in the canyon (see SNNR0935). This relevé was taken to document the presence of these patches. This stand also has relatively high cover of non-native grasses and a fair amount of bulbs (Calochortus and Brodiaea).; It is unknown whether this plot has been grazed by cattle recently (not grazed for sure this year).
