Vernal pool on the basalt plateau in the SW corner of the Hathaway Ranch. Vegetation is dominated by Eryngium castrense and Eleocharis (macrostachya). The pool was drying with cracked mud at the time of the survey. The pool has no distinct margin vegetation.; Conservation easement held on the property by the Shasta Land Trust. Site is actively grazed by cattle.
