Located near the northeast corner of the Friedland property, about 1/2 mile north of Hwy 140. The stand consists entirely of herbaceous vegetation dominated by exotic grasses (Bromus hordeaceus is dominant) on thin soils on a ridge top. There is high diversity in the plot with many native forbs and Vulpia microstachys. There is a small patch of exposed bedrock in the plot center and some stones scattered throughout the plot.; The site is actively grazed by cattle. There is dung in the plot.
