Author Location ? Leininger Ranch, Tehama County
Location Narrative ? Site is located 1/2 mile NE of the rock wall on the west end of the Leininger Ranch. The plot consists mostly of volcanic rock outcrop with Selaginella hansenii and assorted moss cover. The dominant herb is Vulpia microstachys. There is a small patch of non-congruent vegetation on the south end of the plot, which consists mostly of Erodium botrys and Hypochaeris glabra. The vegetation in this plot is seasonal and dries up without surface moisture.; This site appears to be impacted lightly by cattle, there are some overturned stones which are a result of cattle moving through the area. Some rocks have bird scat on them, apparently birds like to perch on the smaller ones.
