The stand is located in the very northeast corner of the Leininger Ranch about 100 m SE of where the main road crosses the powerline. The stand is about 20 m east of the road. The stand is in somewhat of a swale surrounded by other stands of mostly native forbs and Vulpia microstachys, as well as non-native California Annual Grasslands. The stand is dominated by Lasthenia californica and Pogogyne zizyphoroides, and is characterized by a diversity of native forbs.; The area is grazed.
