Author Location ? Orvis Ranch
Location Narrative ? The plot is located in the northeast corner of the Orvis Ranch, about a mile N of the dam. The stand is in the middle of a gently south-facing slope below a spring or seep. The wet associated species continue down into the adjacent drainage. The location of the seep is not apparent, but the ground in and around the plot is still saturated with some standing water (in last year's cow hoof prints) while the surrounding grassland is already dry. The stand is dominated by Eleocharis and Hordeum marinum.; The ranch is grazed though it doesn't look like this part of the ranch was grazed yet this year.
