Location Narrative ? The stand is located about 1/2 mile south and 1000 m below S. Chalone Pk. The stand is located about 1/4 mi north and 250 m above a large chaparral covered plateau. The land was acquired by PINN from BLM in 2000. Fire in 1993. Heavy grazing in the adjacent grassland alliance. There also is a high percent cover of lichen (equal to Selaginella). This may have to be a Selaginella - Lichen Alliance. The plot is located on the middle 1/3 of the south facing slope. The plot is on the upper part of the stand. There are no distinguishing characteristics in the plot. Cow pies in plot. Ant mound on eastern side of plot.
