| Location Narrative |
Located in canyon east of McCabe Canyon on south-facing slope. The path/ravine to the plot is near the intersection of Highway 25 and 145. Grazing in area. Picture taken ~7 m east of plot center. GPS point taken 7 m east of center. When UTMs were entered, they were converted to place the coordinates in the plot center. Plot located ~15 m west of releve 114. Plot appears to have a cryptogramic crust covering most of the open sandy area. Plot is located in middle of two side ridges and is concave with a 3 meter vertical drop in the lower south end. Mimulus is at it's peak. Epilobium has not budded yet. Cuscuta is growing on Epilobium in plot. Swallowtail flew by. Saw an Edith's Checkerspot on way to plot.
